I have been professionally trained and certified as a health counselor by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) where I have studied under prominent authorities in nutrition including Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. David Katz.  I have additional certifications by both the Teachers College of Columbia University, and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).  I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and experience serving as a social worker.

My training at IIN embraced nutritional concepts and theories, modern health issues, health counseling, healthy eating and living, bio-individuality, and more.

The Institute for Integrative Nutrition is the only school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods.

As a wife and mother of four boys, I understand the challenges of balancing a healthy lifestyle with the demands of raising a family.  I am passionate about cooking and sitting down with my family for dinner each evening.  I love taking my two Rhodesian Ridgebacks for long walks, enjoying summers at the beach, running outdoors, meditating and practicing yoga.
